    NATO full form -  North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

NATO was created by 12 countries from Europe and North America.

NATO was founded on 04 April 1949

Since than 20 more countries have joined NATO. At present 32 countries are in NATO alliance.

The  12 founder members of NATO are -

Where is the headquarter of NATO situated ?

The headquarter of NATO is in Brussels Belgium.


NATO's essential purpose is to safeguard the freedom and security of all its members through political as well as military means to secure and ensure a lasting peace in Europe and North America. If deplomatic efforts fail, NATO has the right to use the military power to undertake crisis management operations.

Article 5 of NATO provides that if any member country is the victim of armed attack, each and every other member of alliance will consider the act of violence as an armed attack against all members and will take the necessary actions to help the victim country.

Full form of DRDO

  What is DRDO?  DRDO - Defence Research and Development Organization. The Defence Research and Development Organization is the chief industry under the Department of Defence Research and Development in the Ministry of Defence of the Indian Government. The department is headquartered in New Delhi, India. The organization was formed in 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production of the Indian Ordnance Factories with the Defence Science Organization. The department work with the motto of “Strength’s origin is in Science". Defence Research and Development Organization(DRDO) has conducted two successful test flights of very short-range Air Defence System missiles.
